Nick Coffey is a career prosecutor and lifelong Oklahoman with a proven record of upholding the rule of law, protecting our communities, and holding powerful criminal organizations accountable. As a federal prosecutor for the Western District of Oklahoma, he has spent the past several years leading some of the state’s most high-profile and complex prosecutions. Nick has successfully prosecuted crimes related to transnational criminal organizations, money laundering, immigration, illegal firearms, drug conspiracies, counterfeiting, and fraud. ​

Nick is one of only a few Oklahomans that have coordinated the extradition of leaders of Mexican drug cartels. Most recently, Nick served on the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, leading multi-agency investigations targeting major narcotics and money laundering operations that stretch across state and international borders. He has successfully prosecuted violent criminal enterprises and coordinated enforcement efforts with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

​Nick’s leadership and results have earned him statewide and national recognition. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has recognized Nick for his outstanding work in prosecuting Oklahoma’s most prolific prison gang, the Irish Mob Gang.  In 2024, he was named Prosecutor of the Year by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma—the youngest recipient in the office’s history. In 2023, Homeland Security Investigations honored him with Prosecutor of the Year for his work dismantling a multi-state drug trafficking organization operating between Oklahoma and Michigan.​

A fifth-generation Oklahoman, Nick is committed to protecting families, defending constitutional freedoms, delivering justice, and rooting out corruption in state government. Outside the courtroom, he’s a dedicated uncle and godfather, long-distance runner, avid hiker and camper, four-time marathoner, and conversational Spanish speaker. He lives in Oklahoma City and remains deeply rooted in the values that define the state—integrity, service, and accountability.​
